The Witches Who Refuse to Burn

Today’s political language is highly inflammatory.
Let’s be the witches who refuse to burn.

For centuries, women who held power in their bodies—through healing, teaching, or simply refusing to comply—were branded as witches. The label was a weapon to control, discredit, and destroy.

Today, “witch” isn’t hurled at us with the same consequences. But the tactics remain: overwhelm, distract, shame, belittle. We’re taught to doubt our instincts, disconnect from our bodies, and outsource our authority to someone else’s agenda.

Somatic awareness is our quiet resistance. Every time we pause, breathe, and notice our own experience, we refuse to disappear. Every time we unfurl and allow ourselves to take up space, we make a way for the women around us. Every time we listen inward and honor what we find, we loosen the grip of the systems that would rather we belong to them.

It’s survival.
It’s healing.
It’s legacy.

Embodiment is an act of resistance. It’s how we connect to centuries of quiet wisdom that endures beyond the news cycle, the push notification, or the political soundbite. It’s how we become dangerous in the best way: harder to manipulate, harder to shrink, harder to silence.

We are the witches who refuse to burn.

Now is the time to stand in our bodies.
